This easy and delicious sesame dressing is almost the best recipe I've ever made. It's so easy, and so tasty, and everyone loves it for salads, noodles, and as a dip for grilled or fried foods. It's nutty, deliciously sweet, refreshing, and has a smooth, creamy texture.
*GOMADARE means Japanese sesame dipping sauce.
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 6 tbsp PONZU sauce
  • 4 tbsp Sesame paste (Tahini or Japanese sesame paste *peanut butter can be substituted
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Layu chili oil
  • 1-2 tbsp water to adjust consistency.

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, whisk together ponzu sauce, sesame paste (or peanut butter), sugar, sesame seeds, lemon juice, and a dash of layu chili oil.
  • If the dressing is too thick, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water until it’s your liking consistency.

HOMEMADE LAYU RECIPE

Today, Japanese Layu chili oil is available and you can get it easily at grocery stores in the US.

But, you can also make homemade Layu chili oil,

Simple, Easy, But Supreme Savory Flavorful Japanese Layu. Please try to make this Layu if your traditional Layu is not enough.
