WHAT’S KUTANIYAKI?
KUTANIYAKI ware is mainly produced in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture.
Unique vivid colors with Japanese-style of KUTANIYAKI ware attract many collectors.
One of the techniques called “kinrande” has been known by the name of ‘Japan Kutani’.
You’ll never get tired of its unique and beautiful paint color combination.
Generally, five colors-red, yellow, green, purple, and navy blue are used in KUTANI ware, and its picturesque and bold overpainting of landscapes, flowers, and birds gives a dynamic impression.

Although it is called “Kutani ware”, designs and styles have a wide range depending on the production periods and pottery, moreover, modern designs and styles are produced because young people are attracted to the colorful somehow retro ceramics.

These are my collection of KUTANI ware in my house. As you see, there are a variety of designs and styles.
